Devotional:
There are circumstances in life that will hit you like a high tide. Instead of receiving a warning, you are unexpectedly hit with one problem after the next. And in the midst of it all, you are forced to re-gain footing as it all passes. When you’re in this place, what do you do?
For some, they get swept away with the tide and never return. But then there are others, who understand the nature of God. That when the enemy comes in like a flood, God raises up a standard. And instead of striving to save themselves, they just get low.
For they understand, that a low posture before God signifies humility. And it is the cry of the humble that pierces the ear of God. It causes Him to incline towards the cry and reach out His hand to bring forth deliverance. For those experiencing a high tide type of season, I have one piece of advice for you:
“When the tides of life get high, go low into Gods presence and you’ll resurface stronger and wiser.”
Scripture(s) Meditation:
"So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him."
Isaiah 59:19 KJV
"I waited patiently for the Lord; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry."
Psalm 40:1 KJV
