Devotional:
When a storm of troubles come in, it's easy for you to become discouraged. I mean, let's be honest. Someone has to pay the bills. Someone has to feed the kids. The last thing a person wants to hear when they feel defeated is "things will get better." Especially when all they want is change to happen right at that moment! But I wanted to remind someone today, that no matter how you feel, God is STILL in control.
I'm sure the day Jesus asked His disciples to cross the Galilean sea with Him, they had no clue what was about to happen. Just as many of us don't know what lies up ahead when we give God our yes. However, Jesus went with them into the very situation that would test their faith. Isn't it safe to say that God also goes into our storms with us?
When the storms and winds of life rise up against you, remember who those very winds and waters still fall in submission to. So to that somebody that finds themselves in the midst of a severe storm, know that no matter how turbulent the waters become that God is right there in the storm with you.
Scripture(s) Meditation:
“On the same day, when evening had come, He said to them, “Let us cross over to the other side.””
Mark 4:35 NKJV
“And they feared exceedingly, and said to one another, “Who can this be, that even the wind and the sea obey Him!””
Mark 4:41 NKJV

What is the storm you are facing right now? What about that storm is keeping you from seeing that God is right there with you? How will you stay calm during the storm?

Wow. Wow. Wow. The moment I saw the picture for this devotional, I got excited! Then the word, it blew me away!
I've had some challenging days lately, to say the least. Last night (around 3 am or so), I opened the word to Acts 27, the story about Paul (with the other men) in the storm, and the shipwreck. What looked like disaster was really a blessing! I've been thinking on this throughout the morning, but coming in to read this devotional just confirms it! Thank You, Father! Thank you, sis. Happy hug.
Thank you for being obedient! Thank you Father for allowing me to feel your perfect peace. This was exactly what I needed. As I said “God is in control”, I heard the train honk twice or 3 times letting me know it’s confirmed. My heart feels warm and I’m excited for this next step. All praise to the most high 🥰✨
God has always proven that He is the dependable one . I’m able to take moments and think back to several times when I’ve witnessed Him clear my way changing things around to benefit me and keep me from harm literally. I can’t thank Him enough . It only takes one memory one stone to remind me Just how Loved I am and Just how attentive Our Father is . He cares He sees He knows He feels He understands.I can’t Let Go of the very one who never switched up on me or forgot me.🙏🏽
